Live at Steinway Hall invites you and your guests to join us for a special piano recital featuring Eunha Kim and Jonathan Tsay at Steinway Hall - Dallas on Wednesday, October 7th, at 7:00pm.  This is no charge for this event.  However, seating is limited so please call (214) 526-1853 for reservations.

About The Artists


Eunha Kim

A native of Korea, Eunha Kim has performed extensively as a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist with orchestras throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States.  She has also given lecture recitals on the music of Robert Schumann and Franz Schubert, as well as on other composers.  In a recent sold out concert in Seoul, Korea, the publication Musica di Pianoforte said of Kim’s performance, “Her almost magical technical ability was matched by her sensitive and artistic interpretation of each composition… From the first note to the last, we felt completely engrossed and engulfed by the enchanting music she created a the piano.”  This performance was broadcast on KBS-FM Radio.  The recipient of numerous awards, Eunha Kim received First Prize in Performance and the Award for Best Interpretation of French Music at the 1999 French Piano International Festival in Paris.  In 2000 as the winner of the Artists International Special Presentation Award, she gave a recital at Carnegie Hall in New York.  The publication New York Concert Review said: “Ms. Kim has absorbed and assimilated the character of… French keyboard music, and she exhibits her abilities with taste and flair.  Her presentation was dramatic and stylish…”

Eunha Kim holds a Master’s degree in piano performance with honors from Michigan State University, where she also studied in the Doctoral program with Daiuk Lee and Ralph Votapek.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music at Seoul National University and did graduate study with Jack Radunksky and Todd Welbourne at the University of Wisconsin.  She served as Chairman of the Piano Department in the New Jersey Workshop for the Arts in Westfield, and is a board member of the Steinway Society in Princenton.  She is currently on the faculty of Westminster Conservatory of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey.

Jonathan Tsay

Jonathan Tsay is from Arlington, TX and received his D.M.A. from Universite de Montreal under Marc Durand.  He earned his Bachelors of Music with Honors from Southern Methodist University under Carol Leone.  His former teacher also includes Carolyn Savko.  Jonathan is an active chamber musician and soloist in the United States and Canada.  He won first prize in  the 4th Concours de musique de Repentigny in 2006 and was a top prizewinner in the collegiate division of the Janice K. Hodges Contemporary Piano Performance Award among many others.  www.jonathantsay.com
