HOUSTON, TX (August 3, 2017) – Steinway Piano Gallery Houston announces a recent partnership with The Conservatory of Music at Cinco Ranch in Katy, Texas, that brings the world’s finest pianos to the classroom in the form of a beautiful new Steinway Model S grand piano and 13 new Steinway-designed Boston pianos.
The Gallery’s initial contact with the Conservatory took place when sales representative Amanda Watson reached out on behalf of one of her existing Steinway customers, a woman who was looking for a piano teacher for her two daughters. As a courtesy to her past customer, Watson called The Conservatory of Music at Cinco Ranch to explore options for teachers. Her phone call came at the perfect time, since the Conservatory had recently been approached by a different piano manufacturer regarding a loaner program.
The next step was a Steinway & Sons inventory analysis to assess the condition and longevity of the Conservatory’s 13 existing pianos. Watson’s inventory analysis presentation—a 32-page document detailing every aspect of the inventory and options for upgrades—confirmed just how thorough and serious Steinway is about making their pianos accessible and affordable through established piano initiatives, Watson said. The Conservatory’s owners, Dr. Michael Guevara and his wife Berta, showed Watson the one-page proposal the competing piano company had presented, and told her that the Steinway presentation was the hands-down winner.
“The Guevaras were ready to take their music school to the next level by improving their piano inventory as a whole,” Watson said. “They knew the positive impact Steinway-designed pianos would have on their staff, families, and business.”
The inventory analysis led to a trust in Steinway and, in turn, a commitment to excellence. Now that the Steinway grand piano has been delivered to the school’s recital hall and the 13 Boston pianos are being used by students in practice rooms, the Conservatory of Music at Cinco Ranch plans to continue growing its piano inventory. “This is just the beginning of a long-term relationship with Steinway,” Watson said. “The Conservatory continues to raise the bar by investing in their teachers, students, and desire to offer the best music education program available.”

“From the moment we visited with our Steinway representative, Amanda, and listened and learned about the products, it has been a very enjoyable experience,” said Conservatory co-owner Michael Guevara. “We are honored to now be affiliated with such a recognized brand!”
