Reviews

“[Hong's] playing looked effortless... he commanded... and the audience erupted.”
-Milwaukee Examiner

“Taking a long view of Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 2, Hong crafted an elegant performance, distinguished by large musical arches and a remarkable evenness of dark tone.”
-Cleveland Classical

“Hong was at home at the keyboard, performing Beethoven's Concerto No. 3 with lots of clarity, confidence, and wisdom.”
-New York Concert Review

“The audience seemed unanimous in their enormous delight in listening to the superb teamwork of conductor Trond Saeverud leading the orchestra in Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with guest pianist Sahun Hong.”
-Galveston News

“Hong's playing proved to be full of musical conviction and insight… he was masterful in bringing forth the dramatically contrasting characters of the Hindemith, and also gave a captivating account of the moods in the Grieg sonata - the harsh Norwegian coldness and dreamy imagery were captured in an exquisite blend with violinist InMo Yang.”
